Ashley's side
Being findable gets you chosen
Silence isn't neutral. Buyers look you up when they're ready, not when you are. For eleven months, a founder researching channel help could find our website and nothing current behind it. No point of view, no proof we were paying attention. Referrals kept us busy, but referrals are someone else's network doing your marketing, and they slow down without warning.
Her point wasn't that we needed to be everywhere. It was that a buyer who looks for us should find something worth reading.
Cole's side
The channel punishes noise more than silence
Cole agreed the silence was the lesson. Then he pushed back on what usually comes next. When a vendor realizes it's been invisible, the reflex is to get loud: more posts, more webinars, more announcements. From inside the ecosystem, he watched that backfire more often than silence did. Partners tune out noise fast. What they remember is the vendor who shows up with something useful, consistently, for long enough to be trusted.
So the fix isn't volume. It's a rhythm you can keep on your busiest week.
